Taglit

Taglit is a fun week long activity for middle school, teachers and students. Students are split up into six different groups, usually different each year. The groups this year are, Ghost Hunting, Vaudeville, Home Sweet Home 2, Winter Country Survival, Upcycling, and Backstreets of Portland. This year, unlike last, fifth graders will not be participating in the Taglit groups that don’t have overnights. The opinions from each middle school-er are different. Ben, a sixth grader in Upcycling says “I think it would be fair because I got to do it last year and it would be good for them to get a little taste of middle school.” Other people are glad that the 5th graders didn’t participate this year. In the weeks leading up to Taglit most students were excited and couldn’t wait for their Taglits!
For most students Taglit was everything they expected, for some it was even more! One sixth grader in Upcycling said; “Yes I loved it. I was totally thrilled. Scratch that. Taglit had swag because my good friend was there and we got to create recycled art” when asked if they enjoyed their Taglit. I think Taglit was an overall enjoyable experience for all middle school students.
