The Celtics began the 2012 NBA playoffs with a first-round series against the Atlanta Hawks. The Celtics have already finished playing the Hawks this year, and have moved on to the Eastern Conference semi-finals.


The first game that the Celtics played was on Sunday, April 29. The Celtics lost to the Hawks with a score of 74-83. The next game happened on Tuesday, May 1, and the Celtics won with a score of 87-80. In game three of the series, the Celtics won again with a score of 84-90 on Friday, May 4. This game was a big one as it went into overtime. The Celtics also won the next game with a score of 79-101 on Sunday, May 6. The Celtics lost game five on Tuesday, May 8, with a score of- 86-87. That was a close one! In the end, the Celtics won the series, 4-2, with an 80-83 victory against the Hawks on Thursday, May 10.
