People voted for Santorum, even though he didn’t bother campaigning, because Gingrich and Romney both negatively attacked each other. Early on people were going to vote for Gingrich until Mitt Romney started to repeat Gingrich’s worst moments. In his ads, instead of promoting himself, Romney repeated some of Gingrich’s less than shining quotes. Romney also attacked President Obama.
Quoting Romney, “Leadership is about taking responsibility, not making excuses. Mr. President, you were elected to lead, you chose to follow and now it’s time to get out of the way.” This is one of the many quotes that Romney used in Florida.
This is another quote from Romney “As this primary unfolds, our opponents in the other party have been watching, and they like to comfort themselves with the thought that a competitive campaign will leave us divided and weak. But I’ve got news for them. A competitive primary does not divide us. It prepares us, and we will win.” Romney seems to have a very optimistic approach to all the negativity going around. That might have been because he is taking a lot of wins.
